Nordic Sauna Ceremony

The Nordic Sauna Ceremony is a guided ceremonial sauna experience at one of Stockholm's most atmospheric urban venues. This is not a traditional spa visit — it is a structured ritual combining intense sauna heat, aromatic aufguss (steam infusions with essential oils), guided breathwork and outdoor cold plunge pools. The session is led by an experienced operator who guides you through three rounds of heat and cooling, creating a powerful full-body reset. Set in Stockholm's Slakthusområdet district, the venue has an industrial-chic atmosphere with container-style saunas, outdoor cold plunge tubs under the open sky and a lounge area with atmospheric lighting.

What You'll Do

You will meet your guide near the venue in Slakthusområdet. After an introduction to what to expect, you will enter the sauna for a 60-minute guided ceremony. The session consists of three rounds of sauna heat (approximately 10 minutes each), with aromatic aufguss rituals where essential oils such as eucalyptus and sandalwood are poured onto the hot stones and wafted through the space. Between rounds, you will cool down with outdoor cold plunge pools and guided breathwork. The session ends with time to relax in the outdoor lounge area.
